Software comparison
PestBase vs PestPac: Which Pest Control Software Fits Your Business?
We make one of these two products, so read this with that in mind. What we've tried to do, instead of selling, is be accurate — including about the places where PestPac is the better choice, of which there are several.

The short version
Two products built for different-shaped businesses
PestBase
Built so a lead captured at a door becomes a scheduled service and an invoice without leaving the system.

- Operations running active door-to-door or seasonal sales teams
- Growing companies that want one system from first knock to renewal
- Teams that need to be productive quickly rather than after a long implementation
PestPac by WorkWave
An established enterprise platform with deep compliance tooling and a long track record in large multi-branch operations.

- Complex commercial accounts, multi-unit properties, multiple branches
- Operations where WDO reporting and IPM workflows are non-negotiable
- Teams with back-office capacity to support a longer implementation
PestPac is part of WorkWave and has been in this market for around four decades. It is a serious product with a large installed base, and nothing on this page is intended to suggest otherwise.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between PestBase and PestPac in one sentence?
PestPac is built around running a pest control operation at depth and scale; PestBase is built around connecting the sales side to that operation, so the work that happens before the first service lives in the same system.
Does PestPac have door-to-door canvassing?
Yes. PestPac's Sales Center is a canvassing application with territory mapping, lead tracking, and the ability to close and schedule a service in the field. If you read elsewhere that PestPac has no D2D tooling, that's out of date.
Is RouteOp included in PestPac's plans?
Sources disagree, which is why we'd ask directly. PestPac's own routing page describes RouteOp as priced by team size and bundling the Best Fit tool and Visual Route Manager; its G2 listing describes route optimisation with no per-route fee. Ask PestPac to confirm in writing what routing your quote includes.
Which PestPac tier includes termite inspection?
Published summaries disagree — some place the termite module in the Small Business tier, others in Professional. If termite work matters to you, confirm it directly rather than relying on any third-party summary, including this one.
Can I try either platform free?
Neither offers a free trial. Both offer demos. Ours is a working session rather than a slideshow.
